How to Make a Sock Bunny Friends
Learn how to make a fun and simple no sew sock bunny craft! They are perfect for Easter baskets or decorations!
Happy Spring! The weather is starting to get warmer and nicer and the flowers are thinking about blooming. Easter is fast approaching and I've been trying to come up with a list of fun spring activities that the kiddos and I can do during our 2 week (yes, 2 week) Spring break.
I found some socks on super sale at a local store and thought they would make a perfect little bunny friend. A simple no sew sock bunny craft, perfect for Easter.
One sock makes 1 bunny so you know you can at least make 2 cute bunnies with one pair of socks and some simple household supplies. We got a few different bright colored socks in a pack so we'll be making these for some friends too.
What you need to make this Sock Bunny Craft
- Socks (You need socks with a little bit of ankle to create ears)
- Rice
- String
- Ribbon (optional)
- Pom-pom
- Scissors
- Marker
- Glue
Materials
- Socks (You need socks with a little bit of ankle to create ears)

Instructions
Fill your sock with rice until just below the heel area as shown. This is going to be his bottom. Tie off your rice filled area with some string.
With more rice, fill the heel area of your sock. This creates the sock bunny's head. Tie this off with another piece of string.
Now for the ears. Cut straight down the middle of the ankle piece to create 2 ears. Then shape each ear, creating a point at the top like a real rabbit.
Tie a little piece of coordinating ribbon around his neck. For a girl sock bunny you could add a ribbon around her ears too.
Using a marker, add some eyes, nose, mouth, whiskers etc as desired.
Lastly, glue on his little pom-pom tail to the back of your bunny!
